Leslie Macdonald Brown FRICS

Les is an experienced Chartered Surveyor (Retired). He attended Bearsden Academy State School and joined William O’Neill & Partners February 1972 as a trainee surveyor attending Paisley College of Technology (now The University of the West of Scotland) Land Economics Course leading to full RICS membership in 1976. On qualification he joined Kenneth Ryden & Partners (Rydens).

Les later moved to Bernard Thorpe & Partners (then an international firm with offices throughout UK and Europe) and was made Partner. He resigned from that position and went on to join and set up Barr Brady. His specialisation was the detailed survey of Victorian buildings, which is of great value to the Trust.
