Gail Watt

Gail is a Legal Director at Morton Fraser Lawyers, in the firm’s Agriculture and Rural Property team (Commercial Real Estate Department), with a particular specialism in Renewable Energy. She is Co-Founder of Women in Renewable Energy Scotland, which supports the professional development of women working within the renewables sector.

Gail was a formerly a partner in Energy Law Unlimited LLP, an Associate and Senior Compliance Officer in Renewables Unlimited LLP and an in-house Legal Adviser and Project Manager for renewable energy developer, Enertrag Limited.

Gail has a BA (Hons) in Business Law from the University of Stirling, an LLB from the University of Strathclyde and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law. In addition to her position on WiRES, Gail is currently a Trustee of the Whitehills Harbour Board Trust, Student Supervisor on the Edinburgh Law School pro bono advice service, and has been recently elected as a member of the Whitehills Community Council.
