CELIA SINCLAIR

Founder of The Willow Tea Rooms Trust, Chair until January 2022 and now the Trust's Founder Patron, Celia has combined her successful career in senior executive management and commercial property development with her passion for the Arts. Previously, as a Trustee of The Glasgow Art Club, Celia was responsible for the restoration and refurbishment of its spectacular Mackintosh Gallery. In her role as Chair of The Willow Tea Rooms Trust, she has contributed enormously to the success of the restoration and recreation of the Willow Tea Rooms Building, which won both a RIAS Award 2019 and RIBA Award for Scotland 2019. The project was also named 'Project of the Year' at the RICS Awards 2019 Scotland, which celebrated the top community-led built projects from across the country and the talent behind them.

In recognition of her tireless efforts in restoring the tearooms and preserving the legacies of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Catherine Cranston, Celia received an Honorary Fellowship by RIAS and was presented with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the Chamber of Commerce Inspiring Glasgow City Awards 2019.
